Chaise Sofa

A chaise sofa is a long chair with an extended seat so that the legs can be rested as well. These are usually covered in plush material with plenty of padding. Some have arms on both sides; some have an arm on one side and a long back on the other. The latter is designed for reclining on one’s side.

When creating a library or lounging room a chaise sofa is a perfect seating option. A chaise just oozes relaxation. What better way to get cozy with a book on a Sunday afternoon then reclining with support? They also work perfectly in dressing rooms and bedrooms to add to the boudoir feel.

The living room is also another obvious place for a chaise sofa. Watching TV or enjoying the Sunday paper on a chaise can’t be beat. The lounge is the original easy chair. Imagine lying back in front of the fire on a soft, plush chaise. It’s relaxation at its best.
